Winner of the RSPCA welfare award for Northern England. Goole is one of 42 RSPCA branches in the North Region , and made the greatest increase in the number of animals given veterinary care. In achieving this award the branch wishes to acknowledge their partnership with Vermuyden Veterinary Clinic in Goole and thank them for making this possible.
Who are we?
The Goole and District branch of the RSPCA is a registered charity in
its own right. Whilst we support and work closely with the national
charity, we are totally responsible for generating our own funds to help
and care for local animals.
The local group consists of volunteers who give their time, much of
which is spent fundraising, doing home checks or looking after the
animals in our care. We work closely with other RSPCA animal homes,
carrying out home checks to help them find homes for the animals in
their care. We also work with the RSPCA Inspectors to help reduce the
number of cruelty cases.

Thank you!
We are delighted that after over a decade of campaigning, MPs have
listened to the public and unanimously backed a motion in the House of
Commons to ban wild animals from travelling circuses in the UK. Thank
you to all of you who supported the campaign

Do you have a small holding, farm or stables? Due to an elderly gentleman having to go into a care home we have a number of cats various colours and ages who desperately need an outdoor home-we don't want an adoption fee just a promise to care for the cat and where it will be fed twice daily, have a shelter and will receive veterinary care if poorly. Please can you help?
A Special Appeal
Do you have time to spare? Do you love animals especially
cats? Would you like to become an RSPCA foster carer?
Goole and District RSPCA are looking for a new volunteer cat fosterer to
join their team. A foster carer needs to provide a quiet space within a
home environment or have space for an outdoor pen you will be looking
after cats and kittens who have not had the best start in life. Duties
include daily care of the cat including feeding, cleaning and
socialising. You will need to have transport to attend Vermuydens vets
in Goole and also to collect supplies (for which a mileage allowance
will be paid). Confidence to handle cats and an understanding of cat
behaviour is required. As is patience and the ability to give cats the
TLC needed to enable them to thrive and become available for
re-homing.
All necessary equipment, food and veterinary treatment will be provided
for the cats in your care all you need to give is time and love.
Relevant training for the completion of the paperwork will be given and
you will be allocated an experienced fosterer to mentor you.
